Title

Default Judgment against one party

Definition

This category covers one way that a court case can end -- a default judgment -- after the plaintiff or defendant fail to take a required action in the case. This often is when a defendant doesn't reply to the lawsuit summons or doesn't appear at a court hearing. This covers what a party might do after the default judgment has been entered, what they can do to overturn it, or how to request it.
