Definition

This category covers situations when a person may have been in a lawsuit or other adjudication with a US government agency, and is trying to have the agency pay the attorney fees after winning the case. This includes situations in which the government may say that its position was substantially justified, and so should not have to pay attorney fees. This may be under the Equal Access to Justice Act.
