Title

Termination of 'Troubled Properties' as federally subsidized rentals

Definition

This category concerns what happens when a housing authority or other government agency determines that a rental unit that's associated with Section 8 or other housing subsidies is 'troubled', in that its living conditions do not meet quality standards. This can include the removal of the Section 8 contract, or repairs of the troubled properties -- and this category covers what rights and options tenants have in this process.
